Important noticeBOARD OF TRUSTEE ELECTIONS 2017  INFORMATION EVENING

MONDAY 10 APRIL, 7.00 PM, at HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Establishment Board of Trustees, appointed in 2015 by the Ministry of Education and the Catholic Diocese of Auckland, has continued during 2017 to work to meet requirements to ensure that Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School is fully functional. This team remains in office until the parent community is ready to take on the governance of the school, a time when an elected Board of Trustees takes over.  That time has now come.

Within the next few months, the Establishment Board will be calling for informed people with a range of skills and experiences to step forward and accept nomination to be elected to the foundation Board of Trustees for Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School.

The role of trustees is a significant one with responsibility for setting strategic direction of the school, monitoring progress and reporting on the performance of the school to the parent community. This is achieved by working in full partnership with our Principal, Miss Peta Lindstrom.

To promote this important step in our school growth and development and to encourage nominations from the whole community, the Establishment Board of Trustees warmly invites you to an Information Evening to be held at the School on Monday 10 April, 7.00 pm.

It is another exciting time for the School and we look forward to meeting with you to explore together the role of being a trustee, along with its demands on those who serve.

Kind regards and many blessings

End of Term Mass Celebration

reminder 2Families are invited to attend our End of Term Mass Celebration on Thursday 6th April at 9:00am in Learning Community Awa. Fr Peter Murphy from St Mary’s Parish will be our celebrant. We give thanks for our time together and for the work accomplished this term. As we journey towards the end of the Lenten Season, we pray that our faith may be strengthened through our prayer life both at school and at home.

Holy Week – Stations of the Cross

The way of the crossAs a school family, we will be praying and reflecting on the special devotional prayer “The Stations of the Cross”, sometimes known as “the Way of the Cross” on Thursday 13th April at 2:00pm. The 14 stations of the cross represent events from Jesus’ passion and death. At each station we use our senses and our imagination to reflect prayerfully upon Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection. Please do join with us for this special prayer time which is such a beautiful Lenten tradition.

With God’s Blessing
